Charity description

Ealing Foodbank gives emergency food parcels to people in real crisis in the London Borough of Ealing.

Ealing Foodbank receives donations of long-life, non-perishable food from the community through churches, schools, individuals and collections at supermarkets.

The food is sorted and stored in our warehouse, then delivered to our distribution centres which we call foodbank cafes.

Local care agencies refer people in food crisis to us with an individually numbered voucher.

Trained volunteers welcome clients, listen to them, treat them with respect and give them sufficient food for their household for 3 days.

Where possible, we signpost clients to other service providers and places of support.

We have foodbank cafes in Acton, Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt and Southall.

Our Charity Commission registration was accepted on 26 March 2014 and we are registered with HMRC for GiftAid donations.

Charity No: 1156369
