Henfield Scout Community Centre
Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.
The Clarkes Mead Trust has allowed the 1st Henfield Scout Group to meet on land that it owns, in exchange for a peppercorn rent, since 1930. During that time, two huts have been provided for the scouts to meet in, the first being an old ex-army hut and the second existing hut was built by the Henfield B-P Guild in 1961.
The Clarkes Mead Trust is now spearheading the Henfield Scout Community Centre Building Appeal to raise funds for a purpose built building to be used by the whole community. Eighteen clubs and associations have indicated their interest in using the Centre and local businesses and residents are supporting the Appeal by running events and making donations.
Over £100,000 has been raised to date and more than £35,000 worth of goods and services donated by local companies. Planning consent has been obtained and £25,000 in fees waived by professionals for design work provided to achieve the Planning Consent.
Please donate to support our very worthy cause.
