The Harley Research Fellowships Trust, established in memory of Brian Harley, awards Fellowships to promote the use of the great wealth of cartographic material available in London and other parts of the United Kingdom.

The J B Harley Fellowships were set up in London in 1992 in memory of Brian Harley (1932-91). Professor Harley was founding co-editor of the History of Cartography Project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the leading theoretical thinker in the field.
