Charity description

Tacade logo
Tacade (formerly The Advisory Council on Alcohol and Drug Education) is a small not-for-profit charity working to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people, locally and nationally.

Tacade has over 40 years experience in developing and writing high quality, relevant and accessible resources, managing local and national projects and offers personal training and advice. Our areas of work include: alcohol, drugs, gambling, healthy eating, homophobia, loss, change and bereavement, self esteem, sexual health and relationships and smoking.

We have increasingly been working with vulnerable, at risk children and young people, developing innovative methods of working with a wide range of disadvantaged young people in a variety of community settings including visually and hearing impaired young people, Not in Education, Employment or Training, Pupil Referral Units, Youth Offending Teams and prisons.

We are running several innovative projects in a variety of locations throughout the United Kingdom including 'Challenging health issues for deaf young people' with Leicester Youth Club for the Deaf and Bolton Lads and Girls Club for the Deaf.

The participation and involvement of children and young people has always been at the core of our philosophy and work, which we could not undertake without our valued supporters. Please help us to continue what we do best by making a donation.
