Wil Andrews goes to Malawi!

Our ex-intern Wil is heading off to represent Atlas in Malawi at one of the projects we support. Previously, we gave funding for the acquisition of land and then assistance with the construction of a unique rugby pitch, community centre and accommodation.

Wil is going out to check up on the progress being made whilst also meeting with local community leaders and rugby enthusiasts. We will then look at what more we can do to improve social change for children in Lilongwe and look to bring in more projects for more children.

Malawi is a very deprived country which always ranks near to last in rankings of infant mortality, literacy rates, and access to clean water. They suffer from rolling blackouts due to insufficient energy and corruption is still a massive issue. We are looking at what we can do here to help children get the right start and grow up around the values of rugby whilst also increasing access to food, medicine and education.
