About
The project I'm supporting is a local community initiative #goodshepherdcommunitybusproject. I live in your typical housing estate that lacks community amenities and provision especially for the youth but also for young families and the elderly for whom loneliness and lack of support is a big deal.
The #goodshepherdcommunitybusproject is an initiative led by my Church to provide for our community on the Sandhills estate in Leighton Buzzard. The project is in its infancy as we scope out the exact nature of the provision needed. Core to our vision is a dedicated youth community support officer to serve the estate. Another central theme of the project is the potential provision of a community bus to serve the estate and act as a focal point. At this stage we can not commit to a single guaranteed solution but I can guarantee that your donation will make a huge difference in our community, to our residents, both young and old.
Event details
3 sub 3 marathons ~ Brighton, Warsaw, Snowdonia!!
You can find out the latest on how my 3 in 3 Marathon Challenge is going including a my LATEST race report for the Warsaw Marathon at www.ultradiscostu.co.uk
The '3 in 3HR Marathon Challenge' is to run 3 marathons each in 3 hours. I completed Brighton Marathon on 15 April in 3:00.05! Warsaw Marathon was all going well until 20 miles but then my race fell apart!! Until that point I was on for 2:53 finish but I crossed the finish line in 3:12.08. Marathons are tough!! Do read my blog if you want to know the full detail!
So now I need to pick up the pieces, dust myself off and refocus on Snowdonia the third and final marathon in Wales in just 3 weeks time (27th October 2018). Snowdonia is definitely not a fast course and a tad hilly! To run a sub 3 hour marathon in Snowdonia would put me in the top 1% finishers.
Whatever happens next this challenge has been a huge learning experience, and so so positive, and it's raised a huge amount for our Church community project. So thank you thank you for all your generosity.
God Bless
Stu
