I am challenging myself (and my friends) this year, completing events that I have never attempted before, hoping to raise money for the MS society.
Raising money for
This is in memory of my mum who passed away on 16th June 1999. She struggled with MS for many years and I would like to raise 'loadsa' cash to help others who are struggling today and maybe even help to find a cure.
Thank you for visiting my page, I really do appreciate all donations no matter how small or big....as the saying goes....every little helps!
I have already raised £110, from some fabulous people, unfortunately I have had to change online my fundraising platform, but do not fear, all previous money is already with the MS Society.
Ribble valley run. Yorkshire 3 Peaks.....
I started my journey on 16th June 2018 by completing 'Swim the Channel Up North' relay, I swam 3 x 3000m, overnight, at Boundary Park in Holmes Chapel, helped along the way by Lucy.
I will complete my challenge year on 16th June 2019, by 'competing' in the Lakesman triathlon.1.2 mile swim. 56 miles on the bike. ½ marathon. Some amazing friends have also agreed to join me in this madness, Lucy, Francine and Heather. Thank you ladies, forever grateful.
I have planned numerous other events, such as the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, Ribble valley trail 1/2 marathon, century bike ride, 5km swim, alongside bake sales and car boot sales.
Many friends who have so kindly agreed to join me in these events and help me raise money for this fabulous cause: Sally, Cathy J, Kayleigh, Lucy, Francine, Heather, Darren, Robert, Cathy F, Alison, Karen, Nicky, Louise, Gemma, Becky. Cannot thank you enough.
28/07/2018: Ben wanted to help me raise money, so he and Isabelle were really excited to hold their very own cake stall from our front garden. We sold homemade cakes, ice lollies, lemonade, sweets and more! Loads of our family and friends came to support them. I am proud to say they raised £55.25!
Event is completed
with gift aid: £2,076.10
