Anna's climbing Mount Kilimanjaro - bring it on!
Walk with me on my journey to raise £5,000 to help buy essential items for children, such as school uniform, bedding, mobility equipment and more .
Raising money for
Fashion & Textile Children's Trust
My name's Anna and I'm the Director of the Fashion & Textile Children's Trust. Our charity gives financial support to families who work in the UK fashion and textile industry, when the basic needs of the child cannot be met.
The two reasons for climbing Mt.Kili are firstly, I can think of 137 excuses not to go the gym. I no longer have any excuses and the stair climber is my new best friend. On a more serious note, every day our team here at FTCT receive enquiries from parents who may be in a really difficult financial situation and don't know where to turn. Your amazing donation will help to pay for essential items like school uniform, a new mattress, or mobility equipment for a child with additional needs.
Hopefully, this is the only reason I need, to persuade you to go and grab your bank card now. Whilst you're getting this ready, I'd love to share this with you, from a parent who was recently supported by an FTCT grant: "Today I received my cheque for £550 to help with college uniform, clothing and bedroom furniture for my son. I'm so happy. What an amazing charity, to be able to help families like mine"
Here's more about the challenge itself ...
Anna's climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
Right now, I am climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro! (9-18 Feb) This is the highest mountain in Africa, often known as the 'Roof of Africa', and stands at 5,895 metres above sea level. Training started back in the summer. At the end of September, I successfully climbed Ben Nevis, (minus 12 and snowing at the top!) and trekked with friends in the Moffat Hills, Scotland, at the beginning of December.
Knowing that every pound, tenner, £20, £50, travellers cheque, bitcoin, life savings etc donated by you, my wonderful friends, family and colleagues, will be a massive incentive for me to summit Mt.Kilimanjaro. The trip is entirely self-funded, so every donation will go directly to the charity.

With huge love and thank you so much for your generous support. Anna x
