Charity Fundraiser 2019

The 2 charities we are raising funds for are; Cardiac Risk in the Young in association with Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund and The Stephen Hughes Foundation.
Both these charities aim at raising awareness of Myocarditis and Giant Cell Myocarditis.

Jamie Loncaster Memorial fund was set up by his family, in memory of Jamie who sadly passed away in 2015, aged just 13. They created the fund to be used in memory of Jamie when linking up with established charities, these are Cardiac Risk in the Young, British Heart Foundation and Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charitable Fund. They have provided an outstanding amount of free heart screenings to young people in the local area.

The second charity we are fundraising for is The Stephen Hughes Foundation. The foundation was set up by friends and family in memory of Stephen who sadly passed away in October 2014 after a 6 month battle with Giant Cell Myocarditis. The charity's core purpose is to fund badly needed research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis.
