Iceland Challenge for ATLAS and for Tring RFC
I'm digging out the thermals and bobble hat to join Rugby legend Jason Leonard on a challenge to raise £100k for a school for kids in Africa.
Raising money for
The Atlas Foundation
Donations accepted until 10-09-2017
Its a Double Header...
Through this challenge, I am raising money for the ATLAS Foundation to build a school in the Ivory Coast. ATLAS is working with Philippe Sella’s charity, Les Enfants de L’Ovale (EDO), to provide the same opportunities for children in Africa that Jason Leonard and Philippe Sella found through rugby.
For every pound raised, up to £15,000, I will personally match this with a donation to my own rugby club, Tring RFC, for their new club house.
This four day Icelandic Challenge is hugely challenging and includes scaling walls of ice, conquering the summit of the active Henglill Volcano and hiking to Reyjadular Valley, led by highly experienced professional mountaineers.
The challenge for the kids in Africa is harder still, how to learn and to play when your school has no pitch, no electricity and no water.
The gallery on this page shows their current pitch which is dust in the summer and a mud bath in the rain.
Please help me support them and my local club by making a donation on this page, or contacting me personally.
